Fairytale Tilda

Hi fellow bloggers. This is the card that I finished last night using Fairytale Tilda. I just fell in love with this stamp. I have to say that when I first looked at this collection, this stamp did not catch my eye as the Magnolia insignia covered the frog. It was not until I saw this on a few others' blogs that I saw how completely adorable it was. To make this card, I used Stampin' Up colored card stock, designer paper, ribbon, buttons, and twine; the large circle and scalloped circle nesties; copic sketch markers; clear spica pen; and Prism Simply Smooth ivory paper.

I usually use the Gina K 120 lb paper, but this time I wanted to try using other paper. This is the paper that my local scrapbook store carries. I have to say that I like my Gina K paper better. However, this is not terrible paper. I did have a little more trouble blending the copics with this paper. It seemed that when I tried blending with my lighter color, it would completely remove or fade the darker color. You couldn't see how faded it was until the ink was completely dried on the paper. When the paper was wet, I would like the blending of the colors, but as it dried, the color would continue to fade. However, I will continue to try new papers to see how I like them.

In any case, here is my card.

Here is a closer look at my coloring.

Following are the copic markers that I used:

Skin: E11, E00, E000, R20

Hair: E31, E25, E29

Dress, Roses, and Flowers: R85, R83, R81

Wings: BG05, BG01, BG000, Clear Spica Pen

Frog and Leaves: G07, YG06, YG03

Crown: Y15, Y11, Y00

There is one thing that I want to add to this card, though, before I mail it. I want to add some diamond glaze or crystal effects to the frog. Most frogs are wet and a little slimey. I thought that the diamond glaze or crystal effects would add this effect of a wet and slightly slimey frog.

I welcome any comments even constructive criticism, and I hope that you enjoy her as much as I enjoyed making her. Have a great day!!

I love the monochromatic effect of the scalloped circle on the DP. Like you, I have a hard time visualizing some of the images when they are not colored or when they are covered with the copyright symbol. I'm so glad you got her, though, because you made such a cute card with her! Gina L
